This simple recipe can be doubled if you want a larger sweet treat. This unicorn milkshake recipe will result in one very sweet and tasty milkshake. I topped mine with some sugar-free Cool Whip and rainbow candy sprinkles.

This Peanut Butter & Berries bar from RXBar is bursting with pb&j flavor! I am a huge fan of RX Bars but this flavor right here is hands down my favorite! RX Bars are an excellent snacking solution. Each bar has appx. 12 grams of protein. The best thing about RX Bar might just be that they are made with only all natural ingredients. Each Lenny & Larry’s protein cookie contains 16 grams of protein. Err with caution here if you are watching your sugar! Each serving (1/2 a cookie) has 15 grams of sugar. That’s fine though… just have a Lenny & Larry’s cookie on one of your “cheat days”!

How I use CBD in my life – A little bit of my story

For me personally, I choose to use CBD to help with my ongoing battle with anxiety and depression. I have dealt with these problems in life for as long as I can remember. CBD helps alleviate these health issues for me. CBD does not make me high but what it does is CBD helps balance me out. When I feel anxiety or depression creeping in on me I use CBD to erase it all away.

Right now my primary use of CBD products is to help me battle through benzodiazepine withdrawal. I have been on Klonopin for seven years (prescribed by a doctor and never abused). I am currently almost done with my taper that I started in early October and I will be jumping off the med soon. I switched over to Valium for a smoother taper and I am currently on a dose that is virtually nothing (0.5mg of Valium).

Some people say to avoid CBD during benzo withdrawal and others will tell you that CBD is a miracle product for them. I am part of the latter. CBD is truly a miracle product for me. It aids in evaporating and dissipating withdrawal symptoms. Benzos are extremely hard to come off of and many will even venture to say that they are harder to kick than heroin. I feel grateful that I have CBD products on-hand and available to me to help me get off this hellacious medication that I was prescribed for way too damn long!

Truth be told, I have been suffering from debilitating anxiety and depression symptoms for several years and I am desperate for relief. Medications do not remedy my problems, they only slightly mask the symptoms. I was curious to see what the lab results were for CBDistellery so I did a little Google searching and did view the lab results report. You can view the report HERE.

My experience with CBD

I am also currently in the process of withdrawing from a benzodiazepine medication that I was prescribed for over 7 years. My taper from the benzo began with Klonopin and I am nearing the end of my taper with Valium. Some days the symptoms are unbearable. I get hit hard with withdrawal symptoms every single time I make a cut to near the end of my benzo taper. I wanted to see if CBD could relieve the worst of the withdrawal symptoms (anxiety and depression) so I gave some products a try from CBDistellery.

Because there are no psychoactive effects of CBD I do not ever feel stoned or high after consuming any CBD product. For me, CBD calms me and balances me out. I use CBD products whenever I feel a hint of depression and anxiety. Shortly after consuming the CBD product I feel an improvement in my mood and I can get back to functioning properly. CBD is a lifesaver for me and I love that it is an all-natural remedy to my health concerns. I do not experience any side-effects after using a CBD product.

Another problem that CBD helps me out with is insomnia. The CBD has proven to be more effective than a melatonin supplement for me. I tend to wake up several times in the middle of the night and CBD helped me get a better quality of sleep. I woke less in the middle of the night when I consumed CBD before bedtime.

These (almost guilt-free) ketogenic chocolate bars are sugar-free and sweetened with stevia. Why do I say almost? Though they are sugar-free they still do have some calories that you need to be aware of! If you eat the entire bar of the original flavor that comes out to 380 calories… so don’t eat the entire bar in one day! What I like to do is enjoy the chocolate bars in thirds, which is the suggested serving size. One serving is 130 calories. You can see the macro breakdown below.

Many of these items are also paleo and keto-friendly and you can easily incorporate these gluten-free items into your healthy diet and lifestyle.

Real Good Foods Gluten-Free, Low Carb Pizza

You can find Real Good Foods at their online store or on Amazon. Their pizzas are offered as a chicken crust pizza or a cauliflower crust pizza. Amazon currently has a $15 off clippable coupon.

Real Good Foods offers up a great gluten-free, low-carb pizza. I haven’t tried the cauliflower crust yet but I sure do love the chicken crust pizza. Lily’s Dark Chocolate Premium Baking Chips

As many of you may know, I am a huge fan of Enjoy Life Food’s dark chocolate chips. They are great for baking projects. I do have a confession to make as well, they are great for nibbling and snacking on straight out of the bag. Busted!

I have not had a chance to try out Lily’s Sweets Premium Dark Chocolate Baking Chips yet but they rank quite high on my list of foods that I would love to try. This chocolate bark is sweetened with monk fruit so there are zero added sugars in this gluten-free chocolate bark. This is a line of chocolate you can enjoy with peace of mind because there are only 3 net carbs per serving.

Goodie Girl Birthday Cake Sandwich Cookies

These birthday cake flavor sandwich cookies from Goodie Girl really caught my eye and stood out for me. Birthday cake flavored items rank pretty high on my list of favorite foods. It is just something about birthday cake, maybe it is the nostalgic feeling of eating it when I was a little girl? I did not want to eat the same exact meal two weeks in a row so I made a few modifications. I ended up calling this one Gas Blaster. Why? Because I used three cans of beans in it (dark kidney, light kidney, and pinto beans). I also added in two cups of the Kettle & Fire Beef Bone Broth, seasoned it up with a good amount of turmeric seasoning, and used some Muir Glen Organic Tomato Paste to thicken it up.

This 3-bean & tri-color bell pepper chili turned out amazeballs and dare I say the best chili that I have ever whipped up!

Farty Party Chili w/ added Kettle & Fire Beef Bone Broth

I do not normally use a beef broth in my chili because I like my chili thick. I used this Beef Bone Broth this time around and thickened it with tomato paste and it was absolute perfection as far as flavor and consistency goes. The bone broth gave this batch of chili some exceptional flavor that blew my mind.

Ever have one of those meals where you are eating it and can’t shut up about how good it is? That is what happened with this chili I created with the Beef Bone Broth from Kettle & Fire!

Final Thoughts

It is a dairy-free option to butter and this can replace your current butter or cooking oil with a 1:1 ratio. I use 4th & Heart ghee for my cooking and my baking. The smell of a ribeye steak cooking in some ghee is divine. I will never turn my back and go to regular butter again. If you are interested in making a vegan and paleo cheesecake raw cashews are a must! Nut Cravings has pretty reasonable prices. Raw cashews can be quite pricey! When the raw cashews (soaked overnight) are mixed with a bit of coconut milk and lemon juice you end up with a faux cheesecake filling. I honestly prefer my raw paleo cheesecakes over traditional nowadays.

Coconut cream is essential for paleo or vegan baking. If you are in need of a dairy-free whipped cream the best way to go is to use Thai Kitchen coconut cream. You simply refrigerate the can overnight and then scoop the solids out of the can (no water) and then use your whisk attachment on your stand mixer.

These Primal Kitchen Collagen bars contain healthy fats sourced from nuts and seeds.

In each bar, you are going to pack in a whopping 15 grams of protein.
The bars contain 7,800 milligrams of collagen that are sourced from grass-fed cows. Primal Kitchen claims that the amount of collagen in each bar is more than what is found in a cup of bone broth.
The bars are also packed with prebiotic fiber. There are 9 grams of dietary fiber found in each bar.

I was so impressed with the quality and effectiveness of these Good Day Chocolate adult supplements for myself so I figured I should also have my daughter, Chloe, give the children’s line a whirl! Today I am going to share my Good Day Chocolate Supplements For Kids Review. Chloe sure was excited and pumped to give these a try!I know she was a little jealous when I had my supply for myself. The great thing about these is that your child will get excited to take their vitamin. Who doesn’t love chocolate?! They are also naturally colored from fruits and vegetables, so no artificial colors here. Also, the chocolate is ethically sourced fair-trade chocolate. One piece of chocolate has 2g of sugar and each piece has approximately 15 calories.

Multivitamin:

The Good Day Chocolate For Kids Multivitamin provides a daily dose of all the important vitamins in one dose. Two pieces of Good Day Chocolate is considered one dose.

My daughter, Chloe, really looked forward to taking her daily vitamin when I told her that all her vitamins could be found in just two pieces of chocolate. That got her excited and I didn’t hear a single sigh about taking the vitamin. Chewable children’s vitamins often have a chalky taste and leave a bad aftertaste in your mouth. This is not the case with Good Day Chocolate.

Good Day Chocolate is a brand I have been curious about for quite some time. I am a huge fan for life now for the Good Day Chocolate supplement. I received a variety pack to review and I have nothing but good words to say about this line of chocolate. Read on! I have a good feeling that after reading this you will want to give ’em a whirl! Good Day Chocolate only uses Fair-Trade certified chocolate in their supplements. It is also vegan-friendly and does not contain any dairy. Their products are not organic but they do promise that they only source premium, Non-GMO ingredients for their products. The coloring on the candy shells is also nothing to worry about because they only use natural coloring to dye the shell (example: green is spirulina). If you are wondering about calories, the candies are about 60-70 calories per 4 piece serving which is not too shabby.

Good Day Chocolate Energy Supplement

I often feel sluggish in the day and need some kind of a pick-me-up to kick my butt in gear. The first Good Day Chocolate supplement that I decided to try was the energy pack. My first impression when I took my first taste was, “WOWZA! These are fantastic!” It was around 5pm and I am pretty bold when it comes to caffeine so I decided to try out the entire pack. The box claims that 8 of these candies will have me “jumping Jupiter”. They certainly did perk me up! I do not recommend eating the whole box if you are sensitive to caffeine. Please just take it nice and slow! There are 20mg of caffeine per piece. For reference, 1 cup of coffee contains approximately 95 mg of caffeine.

I often go to bed early so I can be an early riser and get my fitness in for the day. I wanted to stay up late, though, to watch Doctor Pimple Popper. Good Day Chocolate did not let me down. The show was over at 11 pm and I made it through the entire show without any jitters. I just felt good and I felt alive. I also had no problems whatsoever falling asleep. It was just good, clean fuel for my body.

Good Day Chocolate Calm Stress & Anxiety Relief Supplement

The Good Day Chocolate Calm pack is great for those that experience anxiety. The main ingredient in this chocolate is l-theanine. This chocolate has a nice, calming effect. Two chocolates will have the “chill pill” effect, 4 will have you “feeling fine”, 6 is “hello mellow”, and 8 will have you “maxin & relaxin”. The calm pack is also great for winding down in the evening.

The next Good Day Chocolate supplement that I tried out was the turmeric pack. Each box has 800mg of turmeric. Turmeric has powerful anti-inflammatory effects, is full of antioxidants, and it is also known to boost brain function. So this would be great for post-workout.

The Good Day Chocolate Probiotic Supplement is great when you need some balance in your gut. Each box contains 8 billion CFUs (colony forming units). I felt pretty regular after taking a small dose of these for a few days.

Good Day Chocolate Vitamin D3 Supplement

Good Day Chocolate Vitamin D3 Supplement is like eating the sunshine! My doctor told me that I was deficient in Vitamin D earlier this year and I am on a 4000 IU dose. Each chocolate contains 1000 IU (international units) of Vitamin D3. So for me, I needed to eat 4 pieces of chocolate instead of my two tablets that I take at night-time. Vitamin D is helpful for mood, bone health (helps calcium absorption), and immunity.

Good Day Chocolate Sleep Supplement

I really enjoyed the Good Day Chocolate Sleep Supplement to help me combat my ongoing issue with insomnia. Each piece contains 1mg melatonin and they suggest taking this supplement 30-60 minutes before bedtime. These worked like a charm for me! Good Day Chocolate suggests starting small with this supplement and slowly work your way up to more if you feel that you need more. For me, a 4mg dose was my sweet spot.
