Healthy Food Items That Made The Cut For My Healthy Hot List Part 3
A Vitamix blender has been the most wanted item on my wishlist for some time now, at least a couple of years now. These are professional grade machines that are known for getting the job done. These dream machines will help you whip up your next smoothie bowl, soup, nut butter, or nice-cream with ease. I think a good blender is a necessity in the kitchen if you want to create healthy food and the Vitamix blender would be a great place to start.
I have yet to try Lily’s Chocolate but I have been curious about it for some time now. This variety pack contains the following flavors: Creamy Milk, Almond, Coconut, Salted Almond Milk, Original, Crispy Rice. A variety pack seems like the way to go for a newbie like myself. Lily’s Chocolate is sweetened with Stevia and contains fewer calories than your regular chocolate bar. These chocolate bars contain only, non-GMO products. Sign me up for some of that healthy chocolate!
This birthday cake flavor topper is created by Oh My Spice and is a protein powerhouse with two grams of protein per 1/2 tablespoon serving. It is suggested to top your favorite oatmeal, smoothie, or popcorn with this flavoring. I think it would be great with some vanilla ice cream or Greek yogurt as well.
I am a subscriber to this Clean Eating magazine and I absolutely love it. It is full of healthy food recipes and educational articles about how to eat clean. I have learned a lot by reading this magazine and I find it to be quite inspiring. Clean eating does not have to be bland or boring. This magazine is chockful of wonderful meals to help you stay on track.
Have you seen my latest vegan/gluten-free cheesecake recipe? If you want to get on-board the healthy cheesecake train then you are going to need a good food processor to get the job done. This Cuisinart model seems like a good one to go with based on the great reviews of it. This is the one I have my eye on when I decided to upgrade. Food processors are a necessity in the kitchen if you want to crank out some healthy food. I also use mine for whipping up nice-creams.
As many of you already know I am a huge fan of Primal Kitchen but there is another brand out there that I have a lot of love for too and that is Tessemae’s. These salad dressings and sauces are Whole 30 compliant and paleo-friendly and only contain natural ingredients. This variety pack has everything that you need to get on your way to an awesome salad or an incredible meal. This variety pack contains the following products: Organic BBQ Barbecue Sauce, Organic Ketchup, Hot Buffalo Sauce Marinade, Organic Creamy Ranch Dressing (or Marinade), Organic Creamy Caesar Salad Dressing, Organic Habanero Ranch Dressing (or Marinade), Organic Lemon Garlic (for Dressing or Marinade), and (1) Organic Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing.
Veggie noodles are all the rage these days and for good reason~ they are good and they are lower in carbs than traditional pasta noodles. I have this model of spiralizer from Paderno and I have had it for a couple of years. It is still going strong and the blades are still sharp. This model comes with six different blades so you can create a variety of faux noodles. There are numerous vegetables that you can use to create veggie noodles. What I love most about these veggie noodles is that they actually taste great and can liven up a dish.
This mushroom coffee by Four Sigmatic is known to boost brain function. The ingredients inside this coffee can improve focus, concentration, creativity, and productivity. I could totally use something like this in my morning routine.
I actually discovered this Epic Bar through a Free Friday Download at my local Kroger store. I got this flavor as a freebie to try and it was love at first bite and really fulfilled my primal-eating instinct. It was my first encounter with trying bison meat and it was both sweet and savory. These Epic Bars are a great snack when you need to refuel your body.
What healthy food items caught your eye this week on my Healthy Hot List? Will you be ordering anything so you can give it a whirl? Leave me a comment and let me know.
Let it be known that making these cheesecakes are one of my favorite things to do in the Give It A Whirl Girl kitchen. These desserts are rich, flavorful, and actually quite nutritious. They are a much better alternative to regular cheesecake. The basic ingredients in these are fruit (medjool dates) and a variety of different nuts (mostly cashews). I am not going to lie, sometimes I even sneak in a slice for a filling breakfast. This matcha chocolate cheesecake dessert is unique in its flavor. If you are a fan of matcha (green tea) this recipe for a matcha chocolate cheesecake might just be perfect for you. I love everything about this particular one: the crust, the filling, and the chocolate ganache on top. It all marries together harmoniously to make one hell of an awesome cheesecake.
This almost-paleo matcha chocolate cheesecake requires several different components to make it all come together. I broke it down into sections for you. I suggest gathering up all of your ingredients first so you can breeze through this recipe with ease.
This week I am going to present to you a curated list of some of my favorite cooking items and some items that earned a spot on my wishlist. There are some great items here that are all available on Amazon. I think most of my readers will agree that these are some great items to have if you are a home chef. These kitchen essentials might just make you the next top chef.
Circulon Symmetry Chocolate Hard Anodized Non-Stick 11 Piece Cookware Set – I actually do own this exact set of cookware from Circulon. My husband did an awesome thing for me and got these as a gift for me. I am completely in love with this cookware set. It truly does have non-stick surfaces and nothing every sticks to these pots and pans. They are also dishwasher safe, which is a huge plus because I dread handwashing. These also have a nice heavy-duty feel to them. They do not have a cheap feeling at all and feel as though they will last me quite a long time. Love this set and I highly recommend it!
Staub 5.5 Quart Round Cocotte, Graphite Grey – This is another piece of cooking equipment that I have the pleasure of owning and this piece here is my pride and joy in my collection of cooking items. Talk about heavy-duty… this piece is it! I use this dutch oven quite often in the kitchen and it is always a joy to use. It is the perfect size for whipping up dishes for my family of 3. It is oven safe to 500-degrees and another big bonus with this is that it is dishwasher safe. I enjoy using this for my pasta sauces that simmer on the stove for a couple hours. I use it for soups, and it is the most excellent pot for cooking a big batch of soup. I also use this for one pot meals. This Staub will last me a lifetime.
