If you are not a fan of garlic it might just be time to walk away from this post. Today I will tell you how I created a Garlicky Greek Caulipower Pizza using a blank Caulipower crust and some Primal Kitchen Greek Vinaigrette. You can adjust this recipe to your taste with the garlic but the amount that is noted in here is for garlic lovers only. This is, believe it or not, my first time ever having a Greek pizza. I love Greek food so I kind of had an idea in my mind that everything would turn out wonderful to me. Guess what? I nailed it and that is why I am sharing this recipe to you for my Greek Caulipower Pizza! This pizza does not contain any meat so it a vegetarian pizza and would be perfect for any veggie lover.
I recently had the pleasure of giving ZenSweet’s gluten-free and sugar-free products a whirl. ZenSweet products can be incorporated into your paleo or keto diet. Their products are sweetened with monk fruit and do not contain any refined sugars or wheat products. The great thing about ZenSweet baking mixes is that they will taste like they were made from scratch but the mixes only need 1 or 2 ingredients to be created and the final product tastes completely homemade! I was very impressed with the chocolate chip cookie mix that I started out with on my ZenSweet product venture. Keep reading to learn more and then enter the giveaway to win a variety pack of baking mixes and monk fruit sweetener.
Today I have compiled this list of gluten-free food that I am just dying to try! I searched high and low on Amazon to bring you a list of my top 10 favorites that are on my wishlist. Many of these items are also paleo and keto-friendly and you can easily incorporate these gluten-free items into your healthy diet and lifestyle.
Here is another edition of my Healthy Hot List featuring all health food items that are birthday cake flavor! Protein galore over there today!! I am completely obsessed with this flavor profile right now. Possibly because birthday cake flavor conjures up some great childhood memories. Who doesn’t love birthday cake? I feel as though that is a universal flavor that most people can get on-board with. Often times in life our first taste of sweets and sugar is from the first bite of birthday cake at our first birthday party.
I would like to start up a new regular feature on the blog featuring items that I have used and fallen in love with. I will be calling this the Healthy Hot List. These are all items that I have given a whirl and want to spread the word about. Many of these items fall within the realms of several different diets: gluten-free, dairy-free, paleo, Whole 30, keto, and vegan. Whenever I try out a new product and I become a fan I do my best to promote these items and spread the word about them. I would love my good words for these brands to travel far and wide because they earned it with their quality food products.
I really enjoy making a nice Sunday dinner for my family. Last night's Sunday dinner turned out to be an exquisite one. Everything from start to finish was spectacular. For starting out I actually made a bowl of paleo butternut squash soup to go with our meal. I never make a soup to go with dinner. I just always make soups that you eat as an entire meal. For the main course, I had some grass-fed beef strip steaks marinated in Primal Kitchen Greek Vinaigrette and Marinade. For a side dish, I wrapped Applegate Sunday Bacon around some rainbow carrots (purple, orange, and white) that I picked up during our visit to Eastern Market. This was our first time trying out bacon-wrapped carrots and it certainly will not be the last. Lately, I just want to wrap everything up in bacon! Next up for me will be bacon-wrapped brussels sprouts.
See that? Looks mighty fine, doesn't it? That is what you get when you make a dinner date with two brands that I love: Primal Kitchen and Applegate. This is not the first time using Primal Kitchen's Balsamic Dressing/Marinade and it will not be the last. Primal Kitchen consistently comes through and shines with their incredible line of tasty and nutritious products. I made sure my pantry is always stocked with their items. This right here is going to be one of those dinners that is on repeat and in regular rotation here at the Give It A Whirl Girl kitchen. My family of 3 ooh's and ahh's the entire time eating this gluten-free, low-carb, primal meal.
Primal, paleo meal If you are looking for a simple, flavorful steak dinner then I will hook you up with this amazing recipe that anyone could do. You will be eating like a primal caveman in no time with this paleo meal. This particular marinade is created with a blend of balsamic vinegar, avocado oil, and organic herbs and spices. You will not find any refined sugars in their line of products... none! Two tablespoons of this dressing are 100 calories, 1 gram of sugar, and 3 carbs.
I have been wanting to try out this cauliflower crust pizza for quite a while now from Caulipower. Maybe you have been curious about it as well if you are looking for a gluten-free or low-carb pizza? I located a $1 off coupon online so I decided to put this on my Kroger ClickList order and give it a whirl! I had some pepperoni, black olives, onions, and pesto sauce on-hand too so I figured I could use the pizza as a base and doctor it up with a few extra things. This cauliflower crust pizza absolutely blew my mind... it was that great! I really hope this post will inspire you to give it a try.
I had two New York strip steaks to cook yesterday. I often opt for a garlic herbed ghee when cooking up my steaks but I wanted to mix things up a bit last night and try something different. I have been trying out many of the flavors of Primal Kitchen dressings/marinades that I ordered recently and I am completely and totally satisfied with their quality.Â
For me, Fridays have always been about seafood and fish. There is just something about getting a tasty fish dinner on a Friday. Technically it wasn't dinner today, but a late lunch at New York Deli in St. Clair Shores, MI. My main focus of this blog is about trying out new things. New York Deli is not new for me. My family and I are regulars here. I am going to go and assume that this restaurant has a lot of regulars because the delicious food keeps bringing them back. Hmmm or could it be all about the pickles? Maybe the corned beef? The Reubens? Let's investigate! Seriously though, if you have been living in the area of this restaurant and have not yet visited you are the one missing out!
The wonderful thing about these dressings is that they are REAL FOOD. These are paleo approved and that to me is just super. Many dressings are also Whole 30 compliant, but not all (check your labels). These dressings are made with avocado oil, which is considered a healthy fat. These dressings are also free of refined sugar & trans fat free, and that is something that you often see in salad dressings... sugar and trans fats which are absolutely garbage and wreak havoc on our systems. Primal Kitchen is also a low-carbohydrate option.
