Halloween Candy Brownie Pizza

Halloween Candy Brownie Pizza – Gluten-Free – RECIPE

Halloween has come and go and now you probably have a gigantic bowl of Halloween candy. Am I right? Are you wondering what you can do with it? I had the most excellent idea to create a leftover Halloween candy pizza with some white chocolate “cheese” drizzled on top. I used Pamela’s Products gluten-free brownie mix to create this sensational, sinful dessert. Creating your very own leftover Halloween candy brownie pizza is simple to do and it will satisfy all of the chocolate candy lovers in your family.

Leftover Halloween Candy Brownie Pizza

Cheat Day waiting to happen!

If you are a regular follower of my blog then you will know my philosophy of eating:

Eat healthy so you can have dessert!

I eat primarily healthy most of the time. We try to eat as paleo as possible and feel that this diet benefits me the most. I also feel as though I do not want to deprive myself of the fun things in life so I do occasionally devour some sweets that are not on the spectrum of a Halloween diet. Halloween might bring out the worst in me. My daughter, Chloe, received quite a bit of loot this year and it sits in a big black cauldron. The temptation is always there to eat, eat, eat candy. It’s hard to resist and I give in and indulge often. No regrets here though. I know I will get back on track soon after the holidays are over.

Pamela’s Products Gluten Free Chocolate Brownie Mix

For my Halloween Candy Brownie Pizza, I went with Pamela’s Products Gluten-Free Brownie Mix. There were a few different brownie recipes on the back of the package and I went with the butter recipe and I used my 4th & Heart ghee in place of regular butter. The ghee gives it an incredible richness and makes for one excellent tasting brownie. This mix from Pamela’s Products results in a perfect batch of decadent, fudgy brownies that does not disappoint.

Using up all of that delicious Halloween Candy

If you are following a gluten-free diet, be sure to check those labels. Items like Kit Kats are not gluten-free and you will want to avoid using candies like that as a topping. M&M’s, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, and Snickers bars go great as brownie pizza toppings. I especially love topping this pizza with M&M’s because of the color that they give off.

Final thoughts

This was simple and easy to do. My daughter also enjoyed helping out with the toppings! You can have your whole family join in with the topping of the Halloween Candy Brownie Pizza. This brought pure joy to us when we chowed down on it. We were all ooo’ing’ and ahhh’ing. It is best served warm and topped with some ice-cream. We used Halo Top’s Candy Bar ice-cream.

Question time!

Does this recipe inspire you to make a Halloween Candy Brownie Pizza? Do you have any other creative ideas for using up leftover candies?

First impression of Sun Basket

My first Sun Basket subscription box arrived on-time on a Tuesday morning. This was perfect for me because I was hoping to receive my dinner kit before dinner time on Tuesday. I have ordered other meal kits previously in the past and they came much too late in the day to prepare them that day for our meal and I had to wait until the next day to prep and prepare my dinner.

My Sun Basket box was quite heavy from the ice-pack that was packed inside. The box was insulated well throughout and all of my ingredients were kept cold. When I opened up my first box everything was inside individual meal kit bags and labeled. The meats were kept separate from the fresh produce ingredients, which was great. There were no loose items and everything was super fresh and all of my ingredients looked beautiful. You can tell that Sun Basket takes great pride in the meal kits that they ship out just by looking at the quality of the ingredients.

Ground Italian Sausage Gluten-Free Goulash - RECIPE

Italian Sausage Goulash With Banza Pasta- RECIPE (Gluten-Free)

Want your house to smell great? Did you say yeah? I have the slow-cooker recipe for you then! This recipe is for goulash made with ground Italian sausage and gluten-free Banza chickpea pasta. I know goulash is typically made with ground beef… I am fully aware. There are no rules when it comes to cooking. You can just make things up as you go along and do your own twist on a traditional recipe. That is exactly what I did here. I love the taste of ground Italian sausage and it is so much more flavorful than ground beef. Ground Italian sausage is so wonderful in any type of tomato sauce recipe and that is why I chose to use it for this crockpot full of goulash today.

Gluten-Free Ground Italian Sausage Goulash

Gluten-Free Ground Italian Sausage Goulash

Gluten-Free Goulash with chickpea pasta

This is an easy fix! Banza pasta swoops in to save the day with their gluten-free chickpea pasta. There are various shapes to choose from. I believe elbow pasta goes best with goulash but rotini would be a great choice too.

Ground Italian sausage makes everything better

I love ground Italian sausage. It has a much more potent flavor than plain ol’ ground beef. I chose this protein for my meal just based on the flavor of the meat. The ground sausage already has some seasoning in it. Goulash needs paprika though so I added a hefty amount to season it (one tablespoon). I also added some more Italian seasonings to the meat and peppers. A great goulash relies heavily on seasonings so don’t be afraid to bust out the seasonings!

Yummy bowl of ground Italian Sausage Goulash

Yummy bowl of ground Italian Sausage Goulash

Simplicity with the slow-cooker

I believe you will love the simplicity of this slow-cooker recipe. There isn’t too much work involved. The browning of the ground Italian sausage is one small extra step but it is so worth it in the end. While you brown that meat you also soften up the peppers and infuse the whole dish with flavor. Once that step is done you simply place it in the slow cooker with some fire roasted diced tomatoes and let it cook on low for 5-6 hours.

Cooking the pasta

I don’t cook the noodles in the slow-cooker… ever. I think they turn to mush and make the meal kinda starchy. So another simple step here is to just boil the noodles in a separate pot. Once my Banza is cooked and drained I give it a nice rinse with the water from the sink, give the colander a good shake, and then mix the pasta into the goulash and serve.

Final thoughts

This recipe is a sure people-pleaser. It can be created for 3-4 people, in my case only 3 because we each had a large serving of it. I went up for seconds, I just had to do it! The Banza chickpea pasta was perfect for this dish. Banza is definitely one of my go-to brands for gluten-free cooking. This dish also goes great with cheese! Any cheese will do. For my goulash, I went with a shredded Parmesan. I’m sure some shredded cheddar would also be a great addition.

Have you ever created goulash? Fill me in and let me know your secrets for a winning dish of goulash!

Scroll down the page for this simple recipe and I do hope you enjoy this meal!

Fresh Sushi At Kroger - Tried It Out Tuesday

Fresh Sushi At Kroger – Tried It Out Tuesday

Fresh sushi at Kroger? Sure is and I got brave and ventured over to Kroger on Friday to try out some of that beautiful, fresh sushi. I don’t consider myself a sushi snob but I do prefer my sushi to be as fresh as possible. At the present time, my favorite place to grab some fresh sushi is at the Inyo Restaurant in Ferndale, MI. Their sushi is top-notch, creative, and beautifully plated. To save some money and some time, I gave the fresh sushi at Kroger a whirl and it did not disappoint. For the record, the Kroger that I visited is located in Roseville, MI in the 13 Mile Rd & Little Mack location. This store is fairly new and it is my go-to place each and every week.

Pretty huge selection of fresh sushi at Kroger

As you can see in the photos below, Kroger has a nice selection of fresh sushi available. Their sushi is made fresh each morning and often times you will see someone working at the station and creating more. If there is a sushi chef at the station you can even request a fresh roll of sushi or customize it to your liking.

Presentation

The sushi is presented beautifully. I was in awe of all of the beautiful colors from the sushi. Looking at stuff like this dazzles my eyes and makes my tummy growl a bit. All of the sushi looked super fresh and nothing there turned me off. I wanted to give it all a whirl. You can tell that they pour their heart and soul into this sushi. Sushi is an art form and a craft. Their rolls were impressive considering it is at a grocery store.

Different types of fresh sushi at Kroger

Kroger offers a wide variety of sushi including both cooked sushi and raw sushi. For those that fear eating raw sushi, Kroger has your back with plenty of non-raw choices.

I was even amazed to see that Kroger had a sushi burrito available for $10. I am definitely going to give that a try someday and that will be a first for me because I have never tried a sushi burrito. There was also a poke bowl available. That is another dish that I plan on trying out in the near future.

Pricing of the sushi

I feel that the prices of this grocery store sushi is also pretty reasonable. For basic rolls like a California Roll you can get quite a bit of sushi for around $6.00. The fancier rolls are higher in price but the taste justifies it.

Vegan & Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Recipe

Paleo Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheesecake RECIPE (Vegan, Gluten-Free)

Saturdays are my favorite days of the week to get in the Give It A Whirl Girl kitchen and whip up a tasty treat for my family to enjoy. This weekend I created a vegan and gluten-free, no-bake Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheesecake. Is there anything in this world better than edible chocolate chip cookie dough? Hell no! This Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheesecake is completely safe to indulge in and does not contain any eggs which are typically found in cookies. The filling is of this cheesecake mimics the real deal quite well and my little family of 3 absolutely loved this faux cheesecake recipe.

I think that it is a universal idea that raw cookie dough is the bomb! When I was a little girl and my mom whipped up a batch of cookies I always had to have a taste of the cookie dough on the spatula. I would give it a good lick and the taste of raw cookie dough is pure, straight up comfort food! Am I right?

Raw cookie dough almost always has eggs in it, and let’s face it… raw eggs can get you sick with salmonella nowadays and that is the last thing in the world that anyone needs. This recipe is perfect for those that admire that taste of raw cookie dough. If you don’t feel like creating an entire cheesecake with this recipe, go ahead and just create the filling and indulge in that with a spoon or use something to dip in it. The filling on its own makes a great dip!

Vegan-friendly and gluten-free Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheesecake

Vegan-friendly and gluten-free Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheesecake

Creating the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheesecake

This cheesecake has a very rich taste thanks to the 4th & Heart ghee that I used. If you are able to get hour hands on the 4th & Heart vanilla ghee I am sure that would be fantastic in this recipe as well. In my cheesecakes, I always go with coconut oil but for this one, I swapped that out for ghee since chocolate chip cookies are full of butter. The ghee turned out the be a wise choice. When I took that first bite of this cheesecake I knew that using ghee in this recipe was a smart decision. I used coconut oil a couple months ago to make a cookie dough cheesecake, and while it was delicious this recipe with the ghee knocked it out of the park!

It may seem as though this recipe has a lot of ingredients. If you have a well-stocked pantry, chances are you already have most of the items on the ingredient list. There are also some kitchen items, such as a good-sized food processor, that you will need. A springform pan is essential as well in order to create a cheesecake.  A standard 8-inch size will do. If you use anything larger you will have to increase the amount of the ingredients in the chocolate ganache topping.

Most of the ingredients

Most of the ingredients

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheesecake crust

The first step of this recipe is to create the crust of the cheesecake. For the crust of this cookie dough cheesecake, I used a mix of Medjool dates, raw almonds, almond flour, finely shredded coconut, maple syrup, cacao powder, ghee, and some pure vanilla extract. This results in a chocolatey crust due to the added cacao powder. If you do not want a chocolate crust, simply just omit the cacao powder. The crust is gluten and grain-free. The crust has a nutty texture (from the almonds) and the perfect amount of chocolate flavor.

Crust ingredients in the food processor

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheesecake filling

The filling is composed of raw cashews, almond flour, coconut flour, ghee, maple syrup, lemon juice, coconut sugar, and vegan dark chocolate chips. This is the part of cheesecake that is all about that edible cookie dough flavor. The soaked cashews mixed with that little bit of lemon juice, believe it or not, are going to imitate a cheesecake. This type of formula with the cashews and lemon juice is very versatile and you can totally get creative here with your non-dairy, vegan cheesecake. I posted some other recipes for cheesecakes at the bottom of this post.

For this Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheesecake, we are going to top it off with a simple chocolate ganache that is only 2 ingredients: vegan dark chocolate chips (from Enjoy Life Foods) and just a dab of coconut oil to smooth it all out. This is my daughter’s favorite part of any cheesecake that I create. Gee, I wonder why? Could it be because she is a chocolate lover like myself? This is the first part that she always goes for when I cut her a slice.

Cheeseburger Casserole From SkinnyTaste

Cheeseburger Casserole From SkinnyTaste – Tried It Out Tuesday

I recently came across a Cheeseburger Casserole recipe from SkinnyTaste and I was intrigued so by it, I just had to give it a whirl! I would have never even thought of enjoying a cheeseburger in casserole form until I saw this brilliant recipe of hers. My family really enjoys their cheeseburgers and we love our pasta too so this seemed like a winner winner cheeseburger dinner!

If you are not familiar with SkinnyTaste be sure to check out her website for some brilliant recipes that will help keep you on track with a healthy lifestyle. I made a gluten-free version of her Cheeseburger Casserole and my family enjoyed this recipe. I will be whipping up this dish again in the near future. Keep reading to hear more about this unique casserole dish.

Cheeseburger Casserole is a simple & easy recipe

What I really loved about this recipe from SkinnyTaste was the simplicity of creating it. The recipe was easy to follow and the ingredients were very simple to prepare. I started out by boiling the pasta and browning the beef. There was very little prep involved. I used two shallots in this recipe and had to slice those, easy peasy! The recipe calls for garlic as well and I just use my trusty Spice World squeeze bottle. I love simple recipes… who doesn’t?? They are wonderful on busy weeknights or when you are feeling too lazy to cook.

Ingredients I used for the SkinnyTaste Cheeseburger Casserole

Ingredients I used for the SkinnyTaste Cheeseburger Casserole

Gotta have my grass-fed beef in my Cheeseburer Casserole!

I recently made the switch to grass-fed beef. Grass-fed beef is not only more beneficial to your health but I believe it tastes better than regular beef. The grass-fed beef that I purchase at Kroger is also organic. That means that the cows graze on pesticide-free grass. Grass-fed cows also mean that the meat is free from added hormones that are typically given to cows. Sometimes I think of my body as an automobile. Your body needs good to fuel to run. You don’t want to put crappy fuel into your car so why would you want to put bad fuel into your body? Grass-fed beef costs a bit more than regular beef but I believe that the added benefits are worth the extra cost.

A few modifications to the Cheeseburger Casserole recipe

I made a few modifications to her recipe for my family. Instead of using an onion I used two sliced shallots. I discovered shallots earlier this year and prefer their taste and often swap onions for shallots now. I also incorporated some onion powder to the meat while browning it. I love the added flavor that onion powder lends to ground beef. Also, instead of using Dijon mustard I went with my favorite mustard by Boar’s Head. The mustard is a Delicatessen style and it gave the dish a wonderful flavor.

Gluten-free eating

Another swap that I did with this dish was that I used gluten-free noodles. I use Kroger’s ClickList and wanted some rotini pasta but they were out of stock and they gave me penne pasta instead. That was fine with me but I do think that rotini would have been best. I used Ronzoni brand and I believe that they do make a very tasty gluten-free noodle. I don’t think they taste much different than regular pasta. This dish would have been great with Banza’s chickpea pasta as well. They are another one of my go-to brands for gluten-free pasta.

20181007 070554 0001121643689 - Dark Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake Recipe (Paleo, Vegan, Gluten-Free)

Dark Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake Recipe (Paleo, Vegan, Gluten-Free)

Decadent. Dark. Vegan Dark Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake recipe coming up for you! Did I forget to mention healthy? This dark chocolate raspberry cheesecake is full to the brim with an assortment of nuts and a mix of some frozen and fresh raspberries. This recipe is gluten-free, vegan, almost paleo, dairy-free, and does not contain any added refined sugars. Because fruit is also known as nature’s candy, the sweetness of this cheesecake is derived from the fruit and maple syrup rather than added sugars.

Vegan Dark Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake Recipe (Gluten-Free)

Vegan Dark Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake Recipe (Gluten-Free)

It all starts with a chocolate crust for this dark chocolate raspberry cheesecake

The base of this vegan dark chocolate raspberry cheesecake is going to be a chocolate crust made mostly with pitted dates, cacao powder, ground up almonds. There are a few other ingredients in the crust that you will need. This recipe calls specifically for cacao powder, not cocoa powder. There is a notable difference between the two. I did do a little write-up about the benefits of cacao powder awhile ago on my blog. Chocolate in its purest state (cacao) actually has numerous health beneifts. The darker the chocolate, the better health-wise!

I use the cacao powder by LivFit. A one-pound bag goes for around $8.00 on Amazon and this bag will last a long time and come in handy for many other recipes. I have been using this bag of cacao powder for months now and still have a decent amount left. A little bit of cacao powder goes a long way!

To make the chocolate crust you will also need some raw, unsalted almonds. These do not get completely ground up in my food processor and the almonds give the vegan dark chocolate raspberry cheesecake a great texture.

The chocolate crust of this vegan dark chocolate raspberry cheesecake will also need some pitted dates. The pitted dates will not only sweeten your crust naturally but will also help keep all of the ingredients together (dates are very sticky). I suggest soaking your dates in some hot water for a few minutes and chopping them up before proceeding with putting them in the food processor.

The raspberry filling… the heart of the cheesecake

The main component of the filling of this vegan dark chocolate raspberry cheesecake is actually raw cashews! Say what?!?!? Yes, I said cashews and you heard me properly. You will be using an entire pound of raw cashews for the filling that are soaked overnight to soften them up. You can get away with using more affordable, lightly-salted cashews but please steer clear of regular salted ones or you will make an ugly face when you take the first bite of your salty (ugh) cheesecake! This is a sweet cheesecake so please do avoid making it a salty one or else you will be sorely disappointed.

Give It A Whirl Girl with the Vegan Dark Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake before the ganache

Give It A Whirl Girl with the Vegan Dark Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake before the ganache

Obviously, you will be using a bunch of raspberries as well. I actually went with a bag of Kroger’s Simple Truth Organic Raspberries for the filling and it turned out to be a great choice. So, I used frozen raspberries for the filling and I used a pint of fresh for the topping. I don’t know about you, but I sure go crazy for anything that is dark chocolate raspberry. To me, those two ingredients when married together, result in a match made in heaven. I feel pure bliss and I feel like I am on Cloud 9 while consuming this combination.

Thick chocolate ganache to top it all off

For the topping of this vegan dark chocolate raspberry cheesecake, I used my favorite brand of dark chocolate chips from Enjoy Life Foods. Not only are their dark chocolate chips vegan-friendly but they are also free from several common food allergens. I always play it safe and use this brand in my recipes and their chocolate chips are a family fave. My daughter and I are actually known to just snack on them straight out of the bag, they are that great!

The ganache turned out pretty thick from using one cup of chips combined and melted down with a tablespoon of coconut oil. I used an 8-inch springform pan for the cheesecake and I believe you can cut down and use 3/4 of a cup for a thinner chocolate shell. That is just my presumption and guess though. You can always try that and add more if needed.

Warm Sunbutter & Raspberry Jelly Sandwich On Bob’s Red Mill Bread

Bob’s Red Mill Wonderful Gluten-Free bread mix once again over here in the Give It A Whirl Girl Kitchen. This time I was craving a peanut butter & jelly sandwich so I ventured into the kitchen to make my own loaf of bread. I also had some jars of Sunbutter Sunflower Seed Spread that I needed to try out and a jar of Herkner Farms Champagne Raspberry Preserves that I picked up at Devries & Company 1887. I had all of my ingredients and all I kept thinking about was how this would be the greatest wannabe peanut butter & jelly sandwich of all time. This was my first time giving Sunbutter a whirl and I was so excited to try it.

Bob's Red Mill Gluten-Free Wonderful Bread, with Sunbutter, and champagne raspberry jelly sandwich

Bob’s Red Mill Gluten-Free Wonderful Bread, with Sunbutter, and champagne raspberry jelly sandwich

It all starts with Bob’s Red Mill

Oh boy… I am blogging about this Wonderful Bread Mix once again! Let me tell you this… this gluten-free mix truly is wonderful and that is why it is in the name of the product. I have a problem getting my gluten-free breads to fluff up when I use my own recipe and ingredients. Maybe it is just me but my gluten-free bread do not rise up much. Bob’s Red Mill does include a yeast packet with the mix and that is probably why this mix results in a soft and fluffy loaf with the perfect bread crust. I had a wonderful feeling that this fluffy bread would pair well with my Organic Sunbutter Spread.

Surround Yourself With Squash & Gourds- Tried It Out Tuesday (Dumpling & Buttercup Squash)

Have you ever gone on a squash adventure? No? Neither have I until this past weekend when I went to Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace in St. Clair Shores, MI looking for something interesting to try this week for Tried It Out Tuesday. We ended up taking home four different types of squash. In this post I will be discussing the dumpling squash and the buttercup squash that we tried.

I have written about this place before and I love going here on a fun little foodie adventure when I have a small wad of cash to blow. Some girls spend their dollars getting hair & nails done or buying trendy new clothes. Not me, not this girl right here! My family enjoys being adventurous eaters so when we have a little extra cash we like to treat ourselves to something delicious and tasty.

There is a whole world of squash out there in the universe just waiting to be discovered by you!

When you eat with an open mind you allow yourself the chance to experience new foods, new flavors. I went to Nino’s with no clear plan. I just wanted to go in there and walk out with something that I have never tried and experienced.

A little bit about Nino Salvaggio’s

Nino Salvaggio’s is a great local place that is chockful of interesting fruits and vegetables right at your fingertips. They currently have 3 locations with another added location in the works. I live closest to the smaller, St Clair Shores location, and believe it or not I have been going to this little store my whole entire life. On weekends I remember my mom taking us out to fruit markets to stock up on produce. We would go to Randazzo’s on Gratiot in Roseville and we would go to Nino’s in St Clair Shores. Honestly, I absolutely hated going to these stores when I was growing up. I thought it was boring and I would get a bit antsy and impatient and want to leave.

Look at me now! I am all grown up and going shopping for food is always the highlight of my days and I look forward to it. I just can’t seem to get enough of it.

Nino’s is bustling with people on the weekend and for good reason! They have the most beautiful displays of fresh produce that I have ever witnessed. They are super picky about what gets put out on the display for purchase, and they only put out the best of the best.

I will be writing frequently about my shopping experiences there. Other than Eastern Market, this is my go-to place for interesting eats. If you live in the area of Nino Salvaggio’s I highly recommend taking a little trip there to see what you can stock up on. There is always something new and interesting there to feed the senses.

My little haul of unusual squash

Squash that I bought at Nino Salvaggio's

Squash that I purchased at Nino Salvaggio’s: Dumpling, Buttercup, Hubbard, and Sweet Potato Squash

I am a huge fan of summertime in Michigan. I pretty love and cherish most things about summer here, minus the god-awful humidity. I do enjoy a good barbeque feast on the weekends and I do love the food during the summer BUT my favorite foods are all autumn related. I love a good, filling bowl of soup on a cold day. I love a thick & hearty stew. I enjoy eating pumpkin flavored desserts. Just last year I recently discovered that I am also a huge fan of squash. The first squash I fell in love with last year was the butternut squash. I pureed it and made some paleo soup with it and topped it with a coconut milk drizzle. And then next up I ventured into trying out acorn squash. I remember serving it as a side dish with a maple syrup drizzle on it.

So this year I was up for the challenge of taking home some new-to-me squash. Nino Salvaggio’s had a grand display of squash, pumpkins, and gourds out in the front of the store. I grabbed a shopping cart and starting asking Google a bunch of questions on my phone about these squash I was about to purchase. I filled up my cart with four varieties: dumpling squash, buttercup squash, sweet potato squash, and an orange hubbard squash. I had a general idea on what I was going to do with them. Maple syrup always goes well with roasted squash so I got myself a bottle of pure Michigan maple syrup.

I did not even step foot into the store and I already had my mind made up on what I was going to take home…  SQUASH and lots of it!

My daughter, Chloe, was scoping out the heirloom pumpkins and observing them in amazement. She fell in love with a tall white pumpkin that you can see in the photo below.

I also had to rummage through the basket of decorative gourds and bring home a few of them. We enjoyed looking at how unique each and every one of them was.

Rao’s Tomato Basil Sauce

I have been hearing a lot about this brand of pasta sauce. This marinara from Rao’s contains only pure and natural simple ingredients and Italian tomatoes. I will say that it seems to be a bit on the pricey side but if you are looking for a high-quality sauce for your next Italian dinner look no further than to Rao’s.

No tomato blends, paste, water, starches, filler, colors or added sugar. It’s why we steam peel our precious tomatoes and use only pure Italian olive oil and fresh vegetables. And why our sauces are slow-simmered in small batches with ingredients added in the proper sequence and gently stirred. (source)

Primal Kitchen Honey Mustard With Roasted Brussels Sprouts & Air-Fryer Fingerling Potatoes

Every single time I use Primal Kitchen in my meals I am never disappointed. That was the case last night when I used the Honey Mustard Vinaigrette & Marinade on my grilled chicken breast.  When people think about healthy eating they often think foods are bland and boring. They do not have to be that way. I have changed my eating habits a little over a year ago. My family is on this clean eating adventure with me and they are a-okay with most of it. We are probably the number one fan honey mustard marinade from Primal Kitchen.

Primal Kitchen Honey Mustard Vinaigrette

The first thing I did with this dinner was marinated my chicken breast. I went with the Primal Kitchen Honey Mustard last night and I broke out the marinade in the morning and let my chicken soak up the flavor all day. This honey mustard marinade is one of my top favorites from Primal Kitchen. This marinade has a bit of tang a bit of sweetness. It is perfectly balanced.

No weird ingredients in Primal Kitchen

Want to know what is on the label for this honey mustard marinade? Simple and pure ingredients and that is it! Here are the ingredients:

Avocado Oil, Water, Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, Organic Stone Ground Mustard (Water, Organic Mustard Seeds, Organic Vinegar, Sea Salt, Organic Spices), Organic Honey, Organic Lemon Juice Concentrate, Sea Salt

Primal Kitchen is paleo-approved

If following a paleo diet is important to you, great news! This honey mustard marinade is perfectly paleo friendly. I am not 100% paleo so I just slap the label “paleo-ISH” on myself.  This marinade will fit right into to your clean-eating lifestyle.

Time to bust out the trusty ol’ cast iron grill pan

My preferred method of cooking chicken is with my Lodge Cast Iron Grill Pan. I use this pan for my steaks as well. If you want a juicy, succulent, and tender piece of meat this is the way to go.

What’s on the chopping block?

We had a tasty combo of vegetables for this meal. I decided to roast the brussels sprouts in the honey mustard marinade . I roasted them in the oven at 400-degrees for about 25 minutes. We also had some fingerling potatoes. I placed them in a bowl and drizzled them in extra virgin olive oil, garlic salt, pepper, rosemary, and thyme.

20180929 063928 0001592546105 - Paleo Bison Chili With Tri-Color Peppers (Gluten-Free) Recipe

Paleo Bison Chili With Tri-Color Peppers (Gluten-Free) Recipe

I have only had bison once in my life and it was a stew that I created. My little family of 3 was so pleased with it so I decided that this week I would purchase a package of organic ground bison from Kroger and create a chili with it. I also wanted this chili to be paleo so there are no beans in this chili and it is gluten-free as well.

One of the highlights is that it does have three colors of bell peppers in it: red, orange, and yellow. I love a chili that is chockful of peppers! My chili just has to have peppers in it.

I also had a chili seasoning packet from Spice Miser and I decided I would give that a whirl this week too. Spice Miser never disappoints. I picked up that spice packet on my last trip to Eastern Market. If you do not have access to get this Spice Miser packet I have modified the recipe to reflect the ingredients found in it.

Tried It Out Tuesday with ground bison meat in my paleo chili

This post is a day late for Tried It Out Tuesday because I was feeling a bit under the weather last night. I wanted to get around to posting it last night but I was just utterly exhausted and had too much brain fog to write after dinner. I enjoy doing my posts in the morning with a couple of cups of warm coffee by my side.

As I stated earlier, I have only had bison once before in my life and it was in a stew. I already knew I was going to enjoy this ground bison because I enjoyed the chunks that I had in my stew. Bison is not a meat that people typically eat. When I make a chili I usually go with ground grass-fed beef or some lean ground turkey.

When comparing the bison to ground beef it does have somewhat of a similar texture but the bison did seem slightly more tender than the beef. When comparing the ground bison to beef, the bison has a sweeter taste to it. It is not gamey at all, to me anyway. The bison does have a very rich flavor to it and I really did enjoy it in this batch of chili.

Bison nutrition

If you are looking for a good source of protein in your next chili, why not give bison a try? A typical serving (4 oz) of ground bison contains 17 grams of protein. That four-ounce serving is also pretty low in calories coming too in at around 124 calories. That bison meat is also a great source of iron with 2.3mg per serving.

The most perfect chili seasoning

The Spice Miser packet of chili seasoning that I picked up at Eastern Market this past weekend contains the following: allspice, clove powder, chili peppers, cumin, salt, oregano, and garlic. This all amounts to the greatest way to season the bison and the peppers. To me, these are some essential ingredients to chili that lends some great flavor to it.

Fire roasted tomatoes

I am a big fan of all the Muir Glen organic tomatoes. I went with the fire-roasted diced tomatoes for this chili. These tomatoes are low on salt and sugar. I like to go with low-sodium canned ingredients and add my own salt to taste. Muir Glen tomatoes also do not contain any added sugars. There are 3g of natural sugars per half-cup serving. You can go ahead and click the image below to stock up on these awesome tomatoes on Amazon.

Healthy Hot List – Must-Have Food Products For Your Health (Several are Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Vegan, Paleo, Whole 30, or Keto)

I would like to start up a new regular feature on the blog featuring items that I have used and fallen in love with. I will be calling this the Healthy Hot List. These are all items that I have given a whirl and want to spread the word about so this fits in perfectly with my Tried It Out Tuesday weekly feature. These are healthy foods that can fit into your routine.

Many of these items fall within the realms of several different diets: gluten-free, dairy-free, paleo, Whole 30, keto, and vegan.

Whenever I try out a new product and I become a fan I do my best to promote these items and spread the word about them. I would love my good words for these brands to travel far and wide because they earned it with their quality food products. Hope you enjoy this list and let me know if you have tried anything on this list.

Primal Kitchen Strip Steak, Applegate Bacon-Wrapped Rainbow Carrots, And Paleo Butternut Squash Soup – Gluten-Free

I really enjoy making a nice Sunday dinner for my family. Last night’s Sunday dinner turned out to be an exquisite one. Everything from start to finish was spectacular. For starting out I actually made a bowl of paleo butternut squash soup to go with our meal. I never make a soup to go with dinner. I just always make soups that you eat as an entire meal. For the main course, I had some grass-fed beef strip steaks marinated in Primal Kitchen’s Greek Vinaigrette and Marinade. For a side dish, I wrapped Applegate Sunday Bacon around some rainbow carrots (purple, orange, and white) that I picked up during our visit to Eastern Market. This was our first time trying out bacon-wrapped carrots and it certainly will not be the last. Lately, I just want to wrap everything up in bacon! Next up for me will be bacon-wrapped brussels sprouts.

Sunday Dinner - With Primal Kitchen Strip Steak, Applegate Bacon-Wrapped Rainbow Carrots, And Paleo Butternut Squash Soup

Sunday Dinner – With Primal Kitchen Strip Steak, Applegate Bacon-Wrapped Rainbow Carrots, And Paleo Butternut Squash Soup – Awesome Sunday dinner feast!

Marinating the steaks

Using a marinate overnight with your steak usually seems like a great idea that results in a flavorful, juicy steak. This was the case with the Primal Kitchen’s Greek Vinaigrette and Marinade from Primal Kitchen. I have never had a steak with a Greek marinade so I was not sure if we would enjoy this or not, but so far I have not been let down by a single Primal Kitchen item. They all excel in quality, taste, and fall within the realm of clean-eating.

These marinades are low-carb, paleo-friendly, Whole 30 compliant, and do not contain any added sugars. If you are looking into eating clean I highly recommend the products available from Primal Kitchen. No nonsense ingredients, just pure and simple healthy ingredients.

This particular Primal Kitchen Greek Vinaigrette and Marinade uses avocado oil as a base. It also contains oregano, black pepper, coriander, marjoram, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, and sea salt. These are all organic ingredients.

I had a great time going to Eastern Market for some fresh produce and great deals on them. You can read more about that experience HERE. We went towards the end of the day when the vendors are letting things go at low prices. I picked up this butternut squash for a buck. I really should have bought more because I really enjoy it this time of year.

Some ingredients for Paleo Root Vegetable Pot Roast With Rutabaga Mash and Turnips

Look! Look! What do we have here? These are just some of the ingredients in this Root Vegetable Pot Roast that I created. It is also paleo friendly if you are following a primal diet. For this week’s edition of Tried It Out Tuesday we have a double-whammy of rutabaga and turnips! Never tried rutabaga EVER in my life. I did try turnips once but I’m still going to throw this in for this week’s post. I get so much pleasure and joy from giving new foods a try. It is really what I live for. I love the thrill and anticipation of it and that is basically what my blog is all about.

The rutabaga was the big what the heck do I do with this thing item of the week!

Roast preparations

First things first though. Let’s discuss this Root Vegetable Pot Roast from the beginning. The meat is the highlight of the meal after all. The first thing I do for a slow-cooker roast is salt and pepper that slab of meat, throw it on a hot saute pan with olive oil, let it sizzle and brown. When you brown your meat you lock in the juice of the meat and your meat will be so tender when dinner time rolls around.

Erma’s Frozen Custard is the place to be if you want some top quality frozen custard and some exciting, fun ways to top it. This place has so many wonderful flavor concoctions it is somewhat overwhelming to decide on just one! Give me two. NO! Give me three! The flavor options here are just mindblowing. This was my first time visiting with my little family of 3 and we each chose our own parfaits. I just had to go with Peanut Butter & Jelly. I really have a thing for PB&J and that is my jam right now. My husband went with the S’mores Parfait. I believe I heard him moaning over just how good it was. And last but not least my daughter, Chloe, went with a Candy Parfait.

Hard work does pay off… in frozen treat form!

We had a yard sale for the past few days and this was a great place to go to reward ourselves for our hard work. Chloe had a blast with the yard-sale (it was her first) and she was so thrilled about earning some money. It was her idea to go out for ice-cream. She insisted that she wanted to purchase her own sundae with her own money. That kid had some sheer determination to spend money last night!

Always seeking something new to experience

It was my idea, of course, to try out something new. Erma’s Frozen Custard is so conveniently located that we could actually take a stroll and walk on over there. How have I been living in St Clair Shores for so long and never ever stopped at Erma’s. It saddens me to think about how much I have been missing out on all these years. I am definitely going to visit this place one more time before they close for the season. I already know what I’m going with too~ Raspberry Truffle Parfait!

Skinny Dipped Almonds – Not Skinny On Taste – Product Review

If you are a health nut and you also love to indulge a bit in a tasty treat then Skinny Dipped Almonds might just be your go-to snack when you are having a snack attack! I just recently had a chance to sample three different flavors of Skinny Dipped Almonds. I tried out the Dark Chocolate Cocoa, Greek Yogurt Pumpkin Spice, and the Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter. Skinny Dipped Almonds come in two additional flavors as well: Dark Chocolate Espresso and Dark Chocolate Raspberry. These three bags of almonds went pretty quick in my home and we all enjoyed these flavors. Consider me a fan for life! I really do need to get my hands on the other flavors.

Skinny Dipped Almonds (Dark Chocolate Cocoa, Greek Yogurt Pumpkin Spice, and Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter)

Skinny Dipped Almonds (Dark Chocolate Cocoa, Greek Yogurt Pumpkin Spice, and Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter)

Not So Skinny Taste

Don’t let the name “Skinny Dipped” fool you because these almonds are certainly not lacking in flavor, in fact, each flavor that I sampled is actually bursting with flavor! Skinny Dipped Almonds are whole roasted almonds that have a hint of maple sugar, a touch of sea salt, and a skinny layer of dark chocolate on them. These are created with ethically-sourced artisan chocolate and organic ingredients. Skinny Dipped Almonds does not use any artificial colors or flavors in their snack.

No funky ingredients… just real food.

Nutritious Nuts

Looking for a protein punch? These almonds are a fantastic source of protein! 15 Skinny Dipped Almonds will give you 4 grams of protein and it is so easy to eat more than 15 of these delicious morsels. I could easily eat an entire bag in one sitting! If you need a boost in fiber, Skinny Dipped Almonds comes in at 2 grams of fiber per serving (15 almonds).

Caulipower Veggie Pizza

Caulipower Veggie Pizza Doctored Up And On-Point! Gluten-Free and Low-Carb – Frozen Pizza Product Review

I have been wanting to try out this cauliflower crust pizza for quite a while now from Caulipower. Maybe you have been curious about it as well if you are looking for a gluten-free or low-carb pizza? I located a $1 off coupon online so I decided to put this on my Kroger ClickList order and give it a whirl! I had some pepperoni, black olives, onions, and pesto sauce on-hand too so I figured I could use the pizza as a base and doctor it up with a few extra things. This cauliflower crust pizza absolutely blew my mind… it was that great! I really hope this post will inspire you to give it a try.

Caulipower Veggie Pizza with some extra toppings

Caulipower Veggie Pizza with some extra toppings

I was a bit nervous and hesitant to try this pizza because last year I attempted to make my own cauliflower crust pizza and it was a bit of a fail on my part. The crust was soft and a tad on the soggy side. It tasted great but the texture was way off. I was afraid this would happen with Caulipower but that’s not the case! The texture of this crust was on-point… no sad, soggy pizza here! For me, the crust of this pizza really did taste and feel like a regular pizza crust, maybe not 100% but for the most part!

Caulipower Veggie Pizza with some extra toppings

Caulipower Veggie Pizza

Toppings

Let it be known that this pizza would have been completely perfect without the addition of extra toppings. The Caulipower Veggie pizza comes equipped with a medley of bell peppers in green, red, and yellow. It also has the right amount of mozzarella cheese topping it. The sauce really, to me, is what makes a pizza great. The sauce can either make it or break it and Caulipower comes through and delivers a fine sauce made with vine-ripened tomatoes, garlic, extra virgin olive oil, and a blend of Italian seasoning.

Pineapples Stuffed With Sweet Teriyaki Chicken and Ginger/Orange Quinoa – Gluten-Free – RECIPE

It really is starting to feel like autumn now and I have been craving this Teriyaki Pineapple Chicken dish all summer and I finally got around to whipping this dish up a couple nights ago. I created a pineapple dish with a sweet honey teriyaki sauce (the sauce is paleo compliant) with chicken breast and some ginger & orange quinoa. My daughter, Chloe, was super duper excited to chow down on this dish. It is so fun to eat your food out of a pineapple, right? This dish is gluten-free and will also be paleo if you just leave out the ginger/orange quinoa.

20180909 16512110884476281 - RECIPE - Ancient Harvest - Tri-Color Pepper, Ground Beef, & Italian Sausage Spaghetti Sauce- Tried It Out Tuesday

RECIPE – Ancient Harvest – Tri-Color Pepper, Ground Beef, & Italian Sausage Spaghetti Sauce- Tried It Out Tuesday

I am just going to come out and say it… this is some thick ass sauce right here y’all! This sauce is nowhere near being skimpy and naked. We got it all going on over here with grass-fed ground beef, ground Italian sausage, three colors of bell peppers, oodles of minced garlic, half an onion, and a whole lot of basil and oregano! How does that sound? Keep reading to find out how I made this set-it-and-forget-it sauce. I will also talk about the Ancient Harvest gluten-free pasta that I used with this sauce recipe. I tried them out for Tried It Out Tuesday!

Tri-Color Pepper, Ground Beef, and Italian Sausage Spaghetti With Ancient Harvest Pasta

Tri-Color Pepper, Ground Beef, and Italian Sausage Spaghetti With Ancient Harvest Pasta

This recipe does require a little bit of prep but it is essential. You can’t just toss raw ground meat products into your slow-cooker and expect good results. You gotta brown that meat. You are also going to want to saute your onions and garlic until they achieve a translucent appearance and become aromatic and fragrant. I also take the time to soften up the three peppers.

Also, for Tried It Out Tuesday I tried out a new-to-me gluten-free pasta from Ancient Harvest. The pasta is a corn & quinoa. I cooked this pasta according to package directions and it did turn out to be a little too al-dente. With gluten-free pastas, they often tend to be on the mushy side but I felt as though these noodles were a little chewy. They were good but I don’t know if I would purchase this spaghetti again. You can use whatever pasta your heart desires with this sauce recipe though. The sauce is most definitely freaking awesome, I can attest to that!

My daughter, Chloe, whisking up some eggs for our pizza crust

The Importance Of Teaching Children How To Cook – Educating Chloe On How To Make A Pizza From Scratch

Last night we came home from the Dally In The Alley (a music and art festival in Detroit) and decided it would be a great night to make a from-scratch pizza. Instead of having my 8-year-old daughter, Chloe, sitting around killing time on her Ipad I told her to put my apron on and get busy in the kitchen with me. Making a pizza like this is quite the task and I figured this would be a wonderful opportunity to teach my daughter a variety of useful things in the kitchen. Today I will be talking about a few good reasons why it is of utmost importance to get your child busy in the kitchen as well. I think it is essential to teach children how to cook so they know these skills later in life.

My daughter, Chloe, whisking up some eggs for our pizza crust

My daughter, Chloe, whisking up some eggs for our pizza crust

I remember when I was a young girl like Chloe. My mother attempted to get me interested in cooking and I had zero interest in it and did not want to participate in it. My mom was trying to teach me some valuable life lessons at the time but I guess I just chose to ignore it and did not think of it as being important at the time. Even when I was a teenager I didn’t want anything to do with it.

What I did not realize was that I was not allowing myself to learn one of life’s most important lessons.

My only real memory of “cooking” that I have is when I used to go over to my grandmother’s house and she would have my sister and I help with making instant pistachio pudding. The extent of my cooking skills from doing this was just learning how to operate an old-fashioned, manual hand mixer and a soft spatula.

So what was I to do when I moved out of my mother’s house and lived on my own for the first time? I think I did what most college students do… live off ramen noodles, spaghetti marinara, Velveeta Shells & Cheese, and frozen dinners! I really would love for my daughter to have better than that when she decides to go on to college and move out and be on her own. I have ten more years, at least, to teach her things that she needs to know about preparing herself a healthy and nutritious meal.  Read More

Cactus Pear & Pomegranate With Enjoy Life Foods Protein Bites Nice-Cream

Wondering how I naturally obtained this lovely shade of hot pink in my bowl of nice-cream (vegan ice-cream)?? Easy! I owe it all to the cactus pear. The flesh of a cactus pear, when combined with a banana, will give you this gorgeous magenta hue. This cactus pear nice-cream is healthy dessert that will most definitely make your child excited for a yummy treat that is naturally sweet from nature with no added sugars. Other ingredients in this frozen treat are frozen pomegranate, two frozen bananas, and some coconut milk. This is a much healthier alternative to tradtional ice-cream and I always enjoy creating this and serving it at home. Super simple and easy to do too!

Nice-cream is the vegan and paleo version of ice-cream. It is dairy-free and lactose-free.

Ribeye steak with herbed ghee (garlic, rosemary, and thyme) and roasted red skin potatoes

How To Get A Tender And Juicy Ribeye Steak With Herbed Ghee In A Cast Iron Pan

Can you think of anything better than a big juicy steak for dinner? Nope! Not me! This is definitely a favorite for my whole family. I am going to fill you in on how I use my cast iron pan and some herbed ghee to make the most tender and juicy steak!

You only need a few simple things to obtain a tender and juicy steak in the kitchen. First things first, you will need a cast iron pan. I am a true believer in cast iron and I won’t even throw a steak on the grill anymore. I get the best results with my Lodge Cast Iron. You will also need an herbed ghee or you can make your own herbed ghee with a few ingredients: garlic powder, rosemary, and thyme. The herbed ghee is going to make your steak burst with flavor. It is so simple to do and the results are spectacular. It requires only minimal effort.

The first thing I do when I am prepping to cook a steak is to take them out of the fridge and let them rest for a bit. This is when I salt and pepper them on both sides. You also need to start heating your cast iron pan. You want to ensure that your pan is hot when you throw the steaks on so they can get a nice sear to them.

4th & Heart makes a wonderful garlic ghee that you can add your seasonings (rosemary and thyme) to. If you cannot find this brand with the garlic already in it, any kind of ghee will do. I do highly recommend 4th & Heart though. I know my Kroger store carries the regular one. These ghees are also available on Amazon and you can get them conveniently delivered in two days if you have Prime. If you do not yet have Prime you can try a free 30-day trial through this link.

4th & Heart ghee is top-notch when it comes to all of the ghees available. Ghee has wonderful health benefits and is a much better alternative to butter. With ghee, all of the milk fats are removed. It is considered a clarified butter and is lactose-free and dairy-free. Ghee is known to improve the digestive tract and repair it. Ghee is very aromatic and when you are cooking with it in the kitchen your house is going to smell amazing.

Fourth & Heart ghee is made from the milk of grass-fed, pasture raised New Zealand cows.  Why did we have to go so far from home? We find the best quality to be in the place where the greenest grass grows and that’s in New Zealand. (source)

ITALIAN WITH GRILLED CHICKEN SALAD from Firehouse Subs with a couple extra toppings

Firehouse Subs Picnic In The Park At Fort Fraser in Fraser, MI – Review & Tried It Out Tuesday

Yesterday was Labor Day and my husband had the day off and he came up with the most wonderful idea to have a picnic in the park AND to visit a new park that was close by to us. Fraser is relatively close and he discovered a park called Fort Fraser there. We ended up dodging some thunderstorms that seemed as though they were heading our way. We heard lots of thunder in the distance. We really lucked out! We stopped off at Firehouse Subs in Roseville, MI to get our food for the picnic and we brought along a cooler to keep it cold on the way there. Unfortunately, they do not offer any gluten-free options for bread so I had to go with a salad. The salad ended up being a great choice though and I am actually so glad I got that. It was so delicious that I did not even miss the bread! Here is a little bit of a review of my experience with Firehouse Subs.

I ordered the Italian With Grilled Chicken Salad and added on some cherry peppers and black olives (free of charge). There were a lot of extra toppings you could choose from that did not cost any additional money, which I thought was wonderful! You can see the photo on their website. I just kept on eating and eating this salad. It was huge and seemed neverending but in the greatest way. I most definitely feel that I got what I paid for with my $8. This salad was chockful of meat and veggies. No sad salad to see here folks!

This was one of those rare occasions when your salad actually turns out looking better than the advertised photo!

I have been to Firehouse Subs a couple times before (back when I was eating regular bread) and I always ordered the Engineer. That was a hot sub that had mushrooms on it and that sub never disappointed. The food here is always fresh, the establishment was squeaky clean when we came in, and the staff was helpful and friendly.

Paleo & Vegan Cookie Dough Cheesecake and Sesame Ginger Ribeye Steaks (Gluten-Free) Saturday Cooking Adventures

img_20180902_065027_5461989910428.jpg

My husband is off work Fridays and Saturdays. We did not have any plans for those two days so we just had a chill time at home. I needed something to pass the time so I resorted to cooking. What better way to spend the time! I started off Saturday with some multigrain pancakes for Joe and Chloe. I got started on dessert, a Paleo Cookie Dough Cheesecake, early because those cheesecakes take a few hours to set. And dinner was simple~ ribeye steaks marinated in Primal Kitchen Sesame Ginger and peppered bacon wrapped in asparagus. It was a delightful day of cooking from start to finish.

Seems kinda contradictory though to make a vegan cheesecake for dessert after a ribeye dinner! I mainly chose to make this type of cheesecake for the fact that it is paleo and uses only gluten-free ingredients. I do try to eat vegan meals on occasion though because I do enjoy them. My favorite vegan food to make is “nice cream”. It is a vegan ice-cream created with frozen bananas, coconut milk, and other fruits, etc. It is a simple, healthy dessert to create at home and a nice alternative to regular ice-cream.

In this post I will be discussing how I made the dessert and the dinner and I have broken it down into sections for you.

About Kawaii Bubble Tea

Kawaii Bubble Tea is owned by Christa Gowing and she has been the owner here for nearly two years. She started out working at Starbucks and then took a leap of faith and made her dream come true of opening up a bubble tea shop. I had a chance to sit down and chat with Christa about her business and I got nothing but good vibes from her. She was friendly and sweet and I enjoyed chatting with her about her bubble tea shop.

Christa also has her amazing 19-year-old son, Jadon Maloney, who inspired her to open up this unique place. Jadon is the co-owner of the shop. They work together at Kawaii Bubble Tea and he was pretty much the mastermind of the entire concept of this shop, including the name, logo, and color scheme. That is quite the accomplishment for someone who is the age of 19! I am fascinated by this! Christa also had a ton of support from her husband to open up Kawaii Bubble Tea. When you have a fantastic support system your dreams can become a reality.

Boba is a Taiwanese drink concept and has actually been around since the 1980s. It hasn’t achieved popularity in the states until fairly recently. The good word is spreading and more and more people are getting curious about these cute and unusual drinks!

The drinks are available in three sizes (small, medium, or large). The cool thing about this drink shop is how you can create any drink that you desire. There are thousands of possibilities with the different flavor combinations you can come up with.

You can either choose to drink your boba drink inside or take it on-the-go. There are plenty of tables for indoor seating.
