Here is a little bit of background on me and Seeburger’s Cheeseburgers. They opened up their first burger joint nearly a decade ago in Mount Clemens. My little family lived only a hop, skip, and a jump away when they had that location. I actually used to push my daughter over there in her stroller and cut up a Seeburger’s Cheeseburger for her to eat (she is 9 now and still a huge fan!). My family has been dining at Seeburger’s Cheeseburgers since day one and we keep on coming back because you will not find a better cheeseburger slider around in a huge radius! This is our go-to destination for the ultimate “cheat day” meal. There is just something about Seeburger’s! Seeburger’s Cheeseburgers is located on Gratiot in Roseville
You might not have ever heard about Seeburger’s Cheeseburgers and I hate to break it to you but you have been missing out big time! These addictive little burgers are pure bliss to chow down on, and will have you keep coming back for more! I think of Seeburger’s as a bit of a hidden gem. It is tucked away on Gratiot and nestled next to a party store and only a couple of buildings away from White Castle, another slider destination. Bold move huh to have a slider shop in such close proximity to another slider spot, but it works! Todd Seeburger is the owner and he has his faithful following of slider connoisseurs. I am reaching out to you today in hopes of spreading the word about this burger joint because I believe it is important that you know about it if you love a good burger and a fantastic deal on them.

My dad and I stopped into Seeburger’s Cheeseburgers on Gratiot for lunch. When you step into this location you can feel a good vibe as soon as you walk through the door. This location has car and cruising memorabilia on display. Gratiot is a cruising destination of many during the warmer summer months in Michigan. Cruising has been happening on Gratiot for decades and my dad is one of the original cruisers from way back in the day.

At Seeburger’s their claim to fame is definitely due to the large success of their cheeseburger sliders. These are some very satisfying little morsels of heaven! You can purchase single sliders for $1.65, or you can purchase a combo for $7.07, buy a half dozen for $7.99, or purchase an entire dozen for $14.99.

This Give It A Whirl Girl blog is all about trying new things and giving them a whirl. Since I have tried their cheeseburger sliders a hundred dozen times, today I will be sharing my experience with the Big Clem Burger and the Phat Gratiot Burger. My dad and I stopped in for lunch and today I am sharing my experience of that satisfying and deeply filling lunch.

The Big Clem burger features two hamburger patties with American cheese, lettuce, Thousand Island dressing, and then this juicy burger is topped off with an onion ring the size of a donut!
I enjoyed this Big Clem Burger big time, guys!! I have never in my life had a burger quite like this. That gigantic onion ring that topped off my burger really hit the spot! The thousand island dressing on this cheeseburger really gave off a Big Mac vibe, only better. I am not a patron of McDonald’s… like ever! This Big Clem Burger puts the Big Mac to shame. At Seeburger’s Cheeseburgers, you get fresh beef, never frozen on your burger. You really can tell the difference. The owner, Todd Seeburger, has a lot of pride about his burgers and he uses only the best ingredients to keep his customers and loyal following happy.

The Phat Gratiot Burger
The Phat Gratiot Burger at Seeburger’s is a double stacked hamburger with pepperjack cheese, BBQ sauce, bacon, and frizzy onions.
This right here is the burger that my dad tried out. My father was ooo’ing and ahh’ing the entire time he ate this burger and he really tried to take his time so he could savor each and every bite of it. This burger earned a spot on my to-do list. l have never had a burger with bbq sauce on it before but I think the combo of bbq sauce and pepper jack cheese might just be a match made in heaven.

There are plenty of other items available at Seeburger’s Cheeseburgers and the daily specials change daily. Seeburger’s serves up plenty of deep-fried goodies and offers a variety of different soups to go with your meal.

There are plenty of sides that you can order at Seeburger’s. I have tried their basket of seasoned fries plenty of times and I can attest to the fact that their fries are outrageously great! The onion rings here are the biggest I have ever seen in my life. I also highly recommend the deep-fried mushrooms here if you are a mushroom-lover like me! Mmm mmm good! Pickle chips and mozzarella cheese sticks are also a great choice.

HelloFresh sends out meal kits weekly with all of the ingredients inside and a recipe card. As long as you follow the instructions on the recipe card you will end up with a mindblowing meal that is so great you will wonder how you even accomplished it. Some meals are traditional fare but with a spin on it, like the meatloaf shown below. I never had meatloaf with any type of jelly on it but this was absolutely incredible and was one of my favorite HelloFresh boxes. That is exciting to me because I like to eat with an open mind. Never in my life would I have thought to put currant jam on meatloaf but it worked. That is the great thing about HelloFresh. This meatloaf tasted gourmet and I made it all by myself in the kitchen. My family and I are regulars here. I am going to go and assume that this restaurant has a lot of regulars because the delicious food keeps bringing them back. You want to know what I love about this place? It is the only restaurant that I have ever dined at that greets you with a bowl of juicy pickles. Sometimes if you polish off that bowl of pickles your nice waitress will ask you if you want more. The obvious answer is always YES!
The New York Deli has a great menu with really decent prices. They offer a wide variety of items and have something for everyone on their menu. My husband, Joe, is often a burger guy and I am an entree gal. Since it was Friday and I was craving fish I had to go with my usual~ baked cod with steamed broccoli on the side. Joe had a hardcore craving for a burger today so he went with a cheeseburger.

They have soups, salads, sandwiches (including build-your-own deli sandwiches), burgers, pita & wraps, entrees, and a section with Italian foods. I have never dined here for breakfast but I did see that they have some breakfast foods available here. I will have to come early someday and explore that part of the menu more.

New York Deli has a daily special menu available. They offer up six varieties of soups and a wide array of dessert offerings. Personally, for me, I am all about that Seafood Chowder. I often like to venture out and try new things but sometimes things are just so damn good you gotta keep coming back for more. That is exactly what I do at New York Deli. Their Baked Cod dinner is cooked and seasoned to perfection. It is served with a side of potatoes but I try to do low-carb so I swap the potato out for a vegetable, in this case, broccoli. The cod is nice and meaty fish. It never has that putrid fishy taste that some restaurant fish dinners serve up. It is flaky fish and goes great with a little tartar sauce and a whole lot of fresh lemon juice.
New York Deli in St Clair Shores, MI – Baked Cod
Joe was very pleased with his cheeseburger and he said it really hit the spot for him. I gotta say, it did look pretty fine! I could see the cheese just oozing around and it had all of the right fixings on it. He did manage to join the Clean Plate Club and pack it all in. It solved the hunger crisis that he was having.
Burger & Fries at New York Deli
We did not order dessert, though it did sound tempting. We might go out later for a frozen treat. New York Deli has a considerably good amount of desserts to choose from: cakes (including Bumpy Cake), pies, cheesecake, rice pudding, and ice-cream.
All in all, we were very gratified by our delectable meals at New York Deli. My daughter is away on vacation now but she also really does enjoy dining there with us too. I forgot to mention above that they do have a children’s menu. I do wish the children’s menu had some more choices available, that might be my only slight complaint but it seems that is the case with most restaurants.
Question Time! Have you ever been to the New York Deli and what do you enjoy there? They are famous for their Corned Beef dinner and their Reubens and I have tried both. I can attest that they are indeed satisfying.
