Bob’s Red Mill Wonderful Gluten-Free bread mix once again over here in the Give It A Whirl Girl Kitchen. This time I was craving a peanut butter & jelly sandwich so I ventured into the kitchen to make my own loaf of bread. I also had some jars of Sunbutter Sunflower Seed Spread that I needed to try out and a jar of Herkner Farms Champagne Raspberry Preserves that I picked up at Devries & Company 1887. I had all of my ingredients and all I kept thinking about was how this would be the greatest wannabe peanut butter & jelly sandwich of all time. This was my first time giving Sunbutter a whirl and I was so excited to try it.
Ahhhh fall! It is definitely feeling like fall over here in Michigan and I have the perfect Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake to make your heart and soul happy. Attention all pumpkin spice lovers... you will love the paleo and vegan cheesecake that I created. I honestly do love and prefer this over your average pumpkin pie. This cheesecake is chockful of healthy ingredients and does not contain any added sugars. In this recipe, you will be using almonds and cashews. Believe it or not, this method works to make a dairy-free cheesecake. That little bit of lemon juice that you add will magically transform these ingredients into cheesecake heaven!
Welcome to another installment of the Healthy Hot List! This is now a regular feature over here at Give It A Whirl Girl. There are healthy items everywhere I look nowadays. People are focusing on health and wellness and fueling their bodies with healthy and nutritious foods. This is where I break down those must-have items that you just gotta try. Some I have tried and I can vouch that they are great, while others are just sitting around on my Amazon wishlist waiting to be swept up and brought over here. I also added a few supplements to this list, two of which I have tried, and another that I want to give a whirl.
Freshly baked bread is amazeballs! I wasn't sure what to have for dinner and then I got that brinner (breakfast for dinner) craving. I also had a bag of Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free Bread Mix in my pantry. I will tell you this too, I am always looking for a reason to put my apron on and get busy in the kitchen afternoon. So my Tuesday was spent working on a loaf of cinnamon, raisin, and ground flaxseed bread. This bread was simple to make and actually fun. I made the bread with the intention of using it for French Toast. I always enjoy making my own bread for French Toast. It is a rewarding feeling making an entire meal from scratch. I think the use of Chef Shamy's amazing butter really helped make this bread extra special.
I am a big big fan of any of Bob's Red Mill gluten-free products. My cupboards are stocked with several of their items. I just recently put some of the Gluten Free Homemade Wonderful Bread Mix on my Kroger Clicklist order and I am so pleased that I did. Check out that loaf of bread that I created! In all its purple glory... I call it Smurf Bread. This was a very unique loaf of bread that was bursting with blackberry and lemon flavor. What a fantastic combo! Read on to find out more about the process of baking this gluten-free loaf of bread.
Hey guys and gals! Going to make this post short and sweet because I already blogged today but I have to tell you all about my brinner (breakfast for dinner) that I shared with my daughter, Chloe! May I present to you (drumroll please) Cotton Candy Cloud Gluten-Free and Egg-Free Protein Pancakes! These had the most fascinating taste and texture. It was like eating carnival food but it is healthy-ish!
